Bitter herbs are, of course, part of the daily feed of horses. At least, that's how it used to be. Horses like to eat them in small quantities. Today, however, they are absent from most pastures. Many horses today are not offered a single one of these bitter herbs with the result of mucosal inflammation imbalances of the intestinal flora colics fecal water and diarrhea.
Bitter herbs stimulate the production of digestive juices without which good digestion is impossible. Besides stimulating digestive secretions, bitter herbs stabilize the desired intestinal flora. This is the most important condition for the utilization of feed and the production of vital vitamins such as B6 B12 and K.
Feeding recommendation
Feed 50 to 70g of Amara bitter herbs daily. In case of fecal water and diarrhea, combine with Adstringa bitter herbs possibly Terrasan clay and EquiGaron or Peloid pellets.
